Bob Donlon Photography is located in the Capital Region of Upstate New York. I cover the upstate area such as Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, Troy, Clifton Park, Lake George, Keene Valley, Lake Placid, Plattsburg and most of upstate New York . I also cover Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts and will travel virtually anywhere in the world.

A little about my shooting style.

I shoot informally and in a relaxed candid/photo-journalistic style. I capture as many key moments of the day as possible, and try to limit posing to a minimum. While my main attention is that of the bride and groom, I always try to record as many family members and guests as possible.

Since many people feel uncomfortable with thoughts of being photographed, I try to present you a variety of tradition images and candids. I do my best to record for you the natural emotions of you, your family, and your guests on your wedding day. I work in a candid and non-invasive fashion, but still getting close enough to capture the intimacy of the moment.

My equipment.

I use Canon digital SLR (dSLR) cameras, with low light lenses which allow me to work with natural light or minimal external lighting whenever possible. In my opinion, digital allows for greater working latitude, creative enhancement and color conversion in post processing.

Post-processing (after the photos are taken) is just as important as my work on the day of your wedding and all of the available packages includes many hours of hand finishing your prints to give you the best possible memories of your day.
